[Magazine] Worpress Plugins to publish on downloadable format
by Eduard Lucena
Hi team,
I was investigating some wordpress plugins to make a monthly publication of
the Fedora Magazine, like I comment in the last meeting. A short list:
IssueM
https://wordpress.org/plugins/issuem/
The good thing is the autogeneration by date, issue-based publication and
simple configuration. GPLv2 Licence.
The cons: no table of content, no magazine cover, is just: publish this
articles and goodbye.
PDF Create Station
https://wordpress.org/plugins/kalins-pdf-creation-station/
The pros: Highly configurable, issue-based publication
The cons: One guy development make hard to update and get responses to bugs
and issues found in the plugin.
I need to run some test, but for now these 2 are the best options.
In other topic, I like to ask:
Is there a posibility to create a cover for the magazine? even if is
generic.
Is there a format to create a table of contents from the publications?

[Magazine] Upgrading to Fedora 24!
by Justin W. Flory
Hey all,
I just completed a first draft of the upgrade article for Fedora 24.
This article will be different from past ones because of the GNOME
Software upgrade method. I have tried to cover both angles in the
article. See it at the link below.
https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=13090&preview=1&_ppp=68bc6904e9
I have also reached to Richard Hughes, the developer of the GNOME
Software upgrade method, to review the article and possibly offer some
screenshots of the GNOME Software upgrade screens too.
Is there anyone we could also forward this to from the QA / testing side
of things? I know last release we had a couple of flags incorrect, and I
want to make sure we get this a good technical review before publishing it.
Thanks everyone!

[Magazine] Rules
by Eduard Lucena
Hi team,
With the article about Plex Media Server/Plex Media Client came an
interesting topic about what can be or can't be in an article. So i was
researching a little bit about it and found some guidelines:
http://fedoramagazine.org/writing-an-article-for-the-fedora-magazine/
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Magazine/Howtopost
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Magazine
But in any of them is commented about the content of the articles, they all
talk about how to use the wordpress, some thing about structure, topics,
the featured image. In the other thread was commented this by stickster:
(1) If you want to explain how to get or use software that's FOSS and
is legal for anyone to get or use, that's fine. (Examples include
Pagure, or, as far as I can tell, netdata.)
(2) If you want to explain how to get or use software that's not FOSS
but is legal for anyone to get or use, that's fine. (Examples include
Steam or Google Chrome.)
Everything else, it's a good idea to check before pitching. We're
here to help! :-)
So I want to start a discussion to clarify and probably to insert in the
guidelines (wiki or the magazine itself) this important point to make it
better for us, the new contributors.

[Magazine] SELF 2016 article
by Justin W. Flory
Hey Corey,
In last night's Magazine meeting, we were looking at the SELF article
and were wondering when you were hoping to have that one complete. We
thought it might make a nice introduction article to let readers know to
look for Fedora at SELF this year. Do you think you could have a first
draft completed by end of day, Monday? We could probably push it out on
Wednesday or Thursday then.
Let us know what you had in mind for this one! Thanks. :)
