Apologies
by Matt Harwood
Hi all,
Just letting you know I'm afraid I won't be able to make tonight's
meeting. I'll be more available over the next couple of days to gather
more speed with the OpenShift article and will post to the list over the
weekend with a draft for comment.
Sorry for the slow progress on it, personal pressures have been using up
a lot of my time.
Hope to speak to you all soon!

Please note that this meeting will occur even if the release is
delayed at the Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours earlier.
The meeting is scheduled at 19:00 UTC. Please follow the [FedoCal]

[FedoCal] https://apps.fedoraproject.org/calendar/meeting/4105/
You may received this message several times as this meeting is opened
to all teams. I also hope this will raise awareness and more team
representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting works best
when we have representatives from all of the teams.
Thanks for attending,

[Magazine] Schedule for GA release week
by Paul W. Frields
Hi Marketing/Magazine folks,
I wanted to start ball rolling for Magazine schedule around the GA.
As I understand it, we would be publishing the following articles on
GA day:
* Official release announcement
This has yet to be written I think. Am I correct that Remy has the
task of putting it together?
* What's new in F24 Workstation
I'm working on this today and will have it ready to go shortly.
* What's new in F24 Server
* What's new in F24 Cloud
Am I correct that these articles were desirable? If so, is someone
committed to write each one?
There's also at least one potential follow-up article to be pushed at
some point *after* GA day:
* Upgrading from F23 -> F24 Workstation
I saw Justin already has a draft of this article, and it's waiting
on two things: (1) word that FESCo is OK with us promoting this; and
(2) confirmation of when the capability is expected to be pushed in
F23 updates.
Anything missing from this list currently?

Review Requested: Updated Python Brochure
by Brian Proffitt
As per ticket #219[1], I have updated the Fedora Python brochure to include
more current information. The updates are almost all around content, I left
the design elements pretty much alone.
I would like the group to examine the content and let me know if anything
is wrong or missing. If I could get feedback to me by 1200 EDT (1600 UTC)
Wednesday, March 30 (to allow for the upcoming US and EU holidays), that
would be great.
The pdfs are attached; my apologies for not attaching these files to the
ticket itself; there was a file size limit. Please let me know if posting
them somewhere else will be helpful.
Peace,
Brian

New Contributor Eduard Lucena
by Eduard Lucena
Hi team,
I'm Eduard Lucena, Linux user since 2009, Fedora User since 2012. I want to
contribute writing some articles to Fedora Magazine, i work in the
telecommucation industry and my firsts articles will be related to ssh
clients, network management and network protocols, but not limited to that.
I'm recently joined to Fedora Ambassadors Latam and i'm pointing to
increase the use of Linux Workstations based on security and on the
mayority of Linux system usage in telecemmunications equipments (in my own
experience, 90% of network elements are running some kind of Unix, and the
big majority of those are linux).
My wiki page is https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:X3mboy
I hope to write my first article draft this weekend for review and editing
from the team.
Best regards,

Release Validation Testing article
by Ryan Lerch
HI all,
I have finished editing the release validation testing article.
I edited it down a fair bit to try to provide a better hook for users that
might want to get involved with Fedora by helping out with relvar testing.
If anyone else could also throw a quick eye over it from this perspective,
that would be useful. otherwise, if the original author is happy with the
edits, this should be ready to go out!
also added a featured image!
cheers,

Sorry, lost track of this email chain until now… would it be possible to
have multiple caretakers? I feel like it might be a good thing to have
in place long-term if there were two to three caretakers set up to
manage these.
We could create a ticket and put some ideas to a vote if that would help
move this forward in terms of deciding on a policy.

[Magazine] "Getting started with Fedora QA" series
by Justin W. Flory
Hey Sumantro,
In last night's Magazine meeting, we reviewed all of the pitches for the
Fedora QA series you've been working on. After discussing it for a bit,
we thought this would actually be a better fit for the Fedora Community
Blog, where all contributor-specific news, guides, and information is
published.
https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/
The Community Blog is managed by the CommOps team.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/commops%40lists.fedoraproject...
I went ahead and ported your articles from the Magazine to the Community
Blog. They are both WordPress sites, so using the Community Blog will be
the exact same. You also will just have to log in with your FAS to
create an account there.
Let me know once you have created an account and I will assign
authorship rights back to you (at the moment, they list me as the
author). Your first article in the series should be published this
coming week. :)
Thanks for contributing this series again!
