A few missing videos from Flock
by Natalie Ardasevova
Hello guys,
big thanks for publishing the post-Flock article! In the list of videos from Flock, I was looking for Modularity and Factory 2.0, but can't find them.. will they not be available at all?
Thank you,

[Minutes] [2016-08-23] Talking points, Firefox bookmarks packaging
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all! The weekly Fedora Marketing meeting wrapped up earlier today
(I'm just late on sending minutes out). In the meeting, we mostly
covered rounding up details on the F25 talking points. The Server WG and
KDE SIG have been contacted and should have it on their agendas to help
get us talking points soon, but we need some more follow up on the
Workstation, Cloud, and other spins.
Full details are all below!

Looking for another maintainer of Fedora News channel on Telegram
by Jiri Eischmann
Hi,
we've got Fedora News channel on Telegram which has 340 followers and
is growing. I'd like it to be our fastest channel because Telegram
doesn't filter our messages to our followers and delivers them fast.
That requires more admins. I'm currently maintaining it with occasional
help by Justin. Another admin is Remy who is gone now. I'm not always
around to send out news as soon as possible. Anyone interested in co-
maintaining it with us?
I'm looking for someone who has a record of contributions to Fedora
marketing, ideally someone who is already maintaining another official
account of Fedora on social networks and knows how to phrase news
messages.

Looking for new meeting chair
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
As was discussed earlier on the list, the Marketing team recently
switched to a new time for our weekly meetings (Tuesdays at 13:00 UTC).
Unfortunately, due to sudden and last minute changes to my schedule for
this semester, I will be unable to chair the full hour of the Marketing
meetings (I am a teaching assistant for a class that begins halfway
through the meetings). I should still be able to participate, but not
for as long as I would like to.
I think I can manage for tomorrow's meeting, but I would rather have
someone who is available for the full hour of the meeting be the chair
going forward. Is anyone interested in leading our weekly meetings?
Please let me know if this is something that interests you (I would
prefer for an active member of our meetings or other marketing work to
take this responsibility).
Thanks all!

New Chief Editor for the Fedora Magazine
by Ryan Lerch
Hi all,
Just a heads up that the decision that was made a few weeks ago in the
Fedora Magazine meeting for me to pass on the Chief Editor role of the
Fedora Magazine is now in effect.
I am pleased and excited to be passing the torch on to Justin Flory
(jflory7). In the time Justin has been involved with the magazine, he has
been an invaluable editor and contributor for the Magazine, as well as
already taking a leadership role on the Community Blog, i know he is going
to do an awesome job leading the Fedora Magazine. Be sure to read his blog
post on taking the reins of the magazine here:
https://blog.justinwflory.com/2016/08/new-role-fedora-magazine-editor-in-...
I am still going to be involved with the Magazine, and will keep writing
and editing, and participating in the weekly editorial board meetings, as
well as helping with the Featured Images!
cheers,
ryanlerch

Re: Testing article about Building Fedora Rawhide Images with Imagefactory
by Natalie Ardasevova
Hi Courtney,
guys, I don't think I'll be able to test this by this Monday evening (Aug 22nd, as was agreed in the last Magazine meeting), more by Wednesday evening (Aug 24th)...
Thanks for understanding,

Hi Natalie,
The tutorial should now work! I had a couple of guys test it out for me.

Let me know if it works for you.

Fwd: [Flock-speakers-2016] Flock 2016 talk recordings now available
by Amita
Hi Natalie,
This mail may be of help for your query about videos.
Thanks,

Hello all,
As of this morning, most of the Flock 2016 recordings from talks are
uploaded to the Fedora Project YouTube channel. You can find all of the
videos here in this playlist...
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0x39xti0_65Anh9Ik2riyO-ilHXcVrcH
…or, you can find them in table format on the wiki on this page.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Flock_2016_Talks
There are a few caveats and notes that need to be mentioned.
=== Microphone issues ===
Unfortunately, two laptops seemed to have defective microphones for the
conference.
The microphone on the Chelmonski laptop was completely dead, and as a
result, any and all talks in that room do not have any audio. :( I don't
know of any way to resolve this (I also don't have the source files to
check if the audio was lost in upload).
The openQA laptop microphone picked up loud feedback, and as a result,
all talks in that room have annoying feedback that interferes with
listening to the video. I also don't know of a way to resolve this issue
either.
=== Picasso talks not yet available ===
At this time, all talks from the Picasso room are not yet uploaded. The
videos have been progressively uploaded throughout this week and
manually sorted and processed. I anticipate that the last round of
uploads will be coming soon for all Picasso talks. I will send another
update here when they are available.
=== Speakers! ===
==== Check your links! =====
Speakers! The videos, playlist, and wiki page were all processed
manually and at a very early time in the morning – if every speaker
could locate their talk on the wiki page, check the links, and then also
review the YouTube video and its description for accuracy, that would be
a huge help. There's too many for me to go back and review them all.
If you could please review the links, descriptions, and video for your
talk to make sure they're right, that would be a huge help as it's very
likely I missed one or two. If you do notice something wrong, please
reply back here. Otherwise, you don't need to worry about notifying.
==== For those with disrupted audio… =====
If your talk was one of the ones with no audio or disrupted audio,
please consider uploading your slides or any other resources for your
presentation as soon as possible. Please make sure you add the link to
slides on the wiki page for your talk(s).

Also, once you add it to the wiki page, please ping me with a
notification that you have added your slides, so I can go and add the
link to the YouTube video for your talk. This should help with
preservation and helping remote viewers at least get something out of
the presentation / talk.
Thanks! If you notice anything else odd, don't hesitate to reach out to
me. Enjoy!
