would just like to open discussion about a possible enhancement to how openid is presented to the user on communityblog and fedoramagazine.
the idea is when someone goes to /wp-admin/ they are sent straight to the ipsilon login page -- i really think that FAS should be the only login into the fedora magazine here, and doing this will reduce clicks needed from the user, and the need for our how to log in with FAS howto page.

I think this would definitely make it easier for people getting involved with either area - especially for the Community Blog too since that will likely end up with a wider range of authors in the long-term. I think for people who are logging in for the first time, this can be rather confusing.
Also, since we're talking about login-related things, I feel like the Community Blog would be well-served to have a physical "Login" button somewhere on the page too (with that in mind, I also think the CommBlog permissions might need to checked so people don't have publish privileges on first login).

The user is now automatically redirected to the OpenID login page by javascript in the magazine. I'll extract this into a separate plugin and add that to the Community Blog as well.

So - I've traditionally used a pre-OpenID login, which has never been merged with my FAS ID. So - when trying to use regular login, I get sent to OpenID. When I try to log in using OpenID it just goes into a redirect loop.
I was due to edit a piece for the magazine, but can't get in. :-(

jzb: I just fixed your account, and any other accounts where I could find an easy mapping from Magazine user to FAS user. For any people still having problems with this, please ping me on IRC and I'll deal with them on a case-by-case basis.
