Hi Guys,
I am from Brazil and I am thinking about an improvement to our Announcement of new version.
What do all you thing if we separate the new features for groups of interest? Same as the Announcement of Gnome. Take a look:
http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.26/index.html.en#rnusers
IMO It is better than we have now.
PS: Sorry for my bad english, I am learning yet.

Rafael,
This is an official announcement, not a draft, please stick with this text.
The distribution should be done by NDN (News Distribution Network), and spread in our local list already set up. Read the link bellow to understand what's going on and to know our list.
My 0,02 cents,
Rodrigo Menezes

Have we seen any success stories from this yet?

Not yet. I sent to lots of them. 100% of them need an approval before it goes live.
I have some contacts with national circulation magazines in Brazil. I hope they will help us as well. :)
As soon as I see something from Brazil, I get in touch.
But, what about other countries?
I have contacted my list of press people. Its very early, I'm sure many of them will have something out today or tomorrow about this.

Better question then: are people actively looking for these sorts of stories, and where will we aggregate them?

I'm following on google news, set up a google alert and following on tweetdeck.

I get in our list of marketing from Brazil this article[1] and I already put in our wiki[2]. This is the better thing to do, correct?

It usually takes 1-3 days for the stories to get published. It started today for me. So calm down :p
Steven
Ha! I didn't say that, Max did!

+1
But not to lengthy, just concise and able to highlight the main important features will be a plus.

Are you willing to contribute? We have been writing release summaries for a similar audience

Rahul,
I wanna contribute. I just wanna know if it is a good thing to do after a good discussion.
What all you think about this? I can help with it. My english isn't good enough, but I will have help from my private english teacher.
Thanks,
