Hi,
I've just updated freemedforms/freediams to the latest version in F18/F19 and pushed updates. I was wondering if we could have a quick IRC meeting to discuss the status of the fedora medical project to see where we stand and what else needs to be done.
I'd personally like to have a liveCD that we could maybe send out to any medical practitioners we know and let them at least try it out and give us feedback before we proceed further. (We may not be able to have an official spin yet, but I can make an unofficial one for testing purposes.)
I'd also like to use this meeting to try and get more contributors. Only Mario and me, and maybe a few others currently maintain packages. As a student, I personally can't really commit fixed time slots to these and it'll be great to have co-maintainers and other people who can keep the project running when any of us go MIA.
Would any one have time to attend such a meeting?
I've created a whenisgood meeting manager link here: http://whenisgood.net/yr7i4fq
Please mark the times that you may be available. I'm slightly busy with an assessment coming up in mid September, but I can look into adding more slots if we can't come up with a time.
Hi Ankur! That's a wonderful idea:I'm in for the meeting. I think we are slightly more, say Sebastian who's co-maintaning itk, Sébastien who authored orthanc and at least a couple more. Maybe also Peter, Volker and Orion might be interested, if not in packaging,at least in meeting. A collegue of mine,Sergio, is also interested in starting as a packager. I have limited connection this weekend but next week I'll look into the dates :) Best Mario

Though I added my available time in the website, I didn't manifest myself in here. Now it seems to be a good idea in order to give some feedback on the number of possible attendees :) I'm a Computer Engineering and Automation student and researcher in Biomedical Engineering with research mostly focused on Hospital Automation and Homecare systems/devices.
I'm really interested in this SIG, even though I'm not a packager [yet]. I've been too busy in other Fedora teams to become a packager now, but I plan to become on in the near future.
Timezone sucks, but I will do my best to attend the IRC meeting (even if lots of times in the schedule are during 00:00 - 06:00 AM in my clock).
Hope to see you guys soon,
HI all, I'm back on track: many of the time slots are 00:00 - 00:06 am for me too or overlap with work. I might be able to attend the meeting even in slightly different time slots, if absolutely necessary.
Have we already got an agenda?
Best,
Mario

I've added a few more slots. Please see if they suit you. It's slightly difficult to schedule meetings when you're working at a global community like Fedora ;)
Have we already got an agenda?
The main goal is to decide if we can have some kind of live media to give out to "testers".
Here's an agenda I've quickly put together. Feel free to improve it:
1. Currently packaged software 2. Pending software 2a. Software in the review list 2b. Software not yet packaged at all 3. Software to be included in the Fedora Medical Spin 3a. Details like what desktop should it be based on (default package set) 3b. Do we have some folks who can work on making an unofficial spin for the time being? (until we make it an official spin) 4. Do we have any users we can give this media out too for feedback? 5. Do we need to maintain documentation on how this software is to be used? Fedora docs? Wiki pages? 6. Who's working on what? 7. Any new folks who'd like to join in and help out!

Currently, slots on Tuesday, September 3 seem to be the best. If we don't get any more entries by Sunday, September 1, we'll pick one of these slots. If you know others who are working with the SIG, but aren't on the list, please pass the link on to them (we only have 4 folks at the meeting currently, but Mario said there are more folks involved).
Dear Ankur,
Is there any news on the time slit on which this IRC meeting will take place? Thanks for the organization!
Cheers, Sébastien-

Thanks for the reminder. It sort of slipped my mind!
The meeting is later today. It's the only slot where 4/5 folks can make it. Please check your time zones here:

We'll meet in #fedora-meeting and hold the meeting there. Either #fedora-meeting or #fedora-meeting-1/2 should be free.
Please refer to the agenda from my previous mail, and feel free to suggest more items at the meeting. A blog post spreading the word:

See you folks later today!
PS: please ignore my other mail that's held for moderation. I mixed up my accounts in evolution and it got sent out from my non fedora mail.
Hello guys,
9 am in here is really difficult. I'm not only in class, but I also have an exam tomorrow I wish you guys luck in the discussions tomorrow :)
Best regards, mribeirodantas
