(rbergeron, 19:11:19)

door (rbergeron, 19:28:57)
* Euca install is coming along - hw is all in a row, but not installed
yet; arrangements are being made (rbergeron, 19:31:28)
* skvidal will share a timeline once there is a timeline (rbergeron,
19:31:43)

* Currently at 3.4.3. A few issues in the 3.4 kernel being worked through
* Rawhide (jwb, 18:15:15)
* 3.5-rc3
* Need more rawhide kernel testing. Should work fine with F16/F17 userspace
* Kernel QA (jwb, 18:26:09)

git.fedorahosted.org/git/kernel-tests.git . contributions welcome
(jwb, 18:28:28)
* Kernel updates and bodhi (jwb, 18:29:24)
* Plan to disable auto promotion/pushing to allow more flexibility between
release updates
* Strongly prefer negative karma points be linked to a reported bug
* Negative karma for a bug we didn't say we fixed in a particular update
is not particularly helpful. It holds up fixes for others.

=== Announcements & welcoming new folks ===
Thanks to our new Board members emeritus!
Action: Christoph and Eric to work on election documentation/wiki pages.
=== Tickets ===
It's spins day!
==== 95: Request: please consider clarifying the project's position on
Spins ====
Robyn to beep at Adam for one more week and then we'll close it.
==== 136: Request for clarification on localization of Spins ====
Need exists for ambassadors to have Fedora with their local language to
hand out at local events.
What about a way to create spins automatically? (otherwise we have to
host and bless many spins... how many languages are there in India?)
* Board could revisit the things that are necessary for being an
"official spin" to make this possible. For instance, "If it comes out
of the web app spin creator that we host, it can be called Fedora"
App shown at FUDCon Blacksburg based on https://fedorahosted.org/dorrie
Action: Christoph will contact the Spins SIG with a proposal
=== Follow-up: Release naming process ===

IRC meeting minutes
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Suggestions_for_Fedora_Codename_Theme
Idea: if the release naming process changes, consider re-thinking the
way we involve the community.
Action: Everyone with ideas will write up a list of suggestions for
improving community involvement in naming.
=== Open Floor / Your suggestion here / Who's got good news? ===
=== Next meeting: IRC, 2012-06-27 ===

Robyn will be out; Jaroslav will lead next week's meeting.

17:02:43 <EvilBob> We do have an agenda today please allow us to complete that and bring up additional topics in the "Open Floor" section of the meeting.
17:02:43 <EvilBob> Southern_Gentlem will not be able to join us today, he has training for work. The next meeting he will be fully at will be 2012-07-05.
17:02:43 <EvilBob> nirik is unable to attend as he is traveling.
17:02:43 <EvilBob> I've been without email for a week so if I've missed something I'm sorry.
17:03:08 <EvilBob> Any other announcements?
17:03:24 <EvilBob> #topic Week in review
17:03:24 <EvilBob> #link http://fedora.theglaserfamily.org/ircstats/fedora-weekly.html
17:03:43 <EvilBob> Seemed like a normal week to me, I was not real active however...
17:04:23 <Discordian> Scary when I'm #1 two weeks running
17:04:26 <EvilBob> anyone else notice anything?
17:04:45 <EvilBob> Discordian: Yeah I was number 2 and yet "not real active" LOL
17:05:13 <Sonar_Gal> lol
17:05:19 <Discordian> Been fairly quiet
17:05:32 <EvilBob> OK Moving on to tickets
17:05:43 <EvilBob> #topic Feedback Tickets
17:05:43 <EvilBob> #link https://fedorahosted.org/irc-support-sig/report/1
17:06:16 <EvilBob> we have three active tickets, 107 I think we handled in the meeting last week however. just waiting on the leg work
17:06:26 <EvilBob> #topic ticket 107 - Mass Removal Of Stagnant Voting Members
17:06:26 <EvilBob> #link https://fedorahosted.org/irc-support-sig/ticket/107
17:06:28 <Sonar_Gal> correct
17:06:39 <EvilBob> So moving on to the next.
17:06:49 <EvilBob> #topic ticket 116 - feedback
17:06:49 <EvilBob> #link https://fedorahosted.org/irc-support-sig/ticket/116
17:07:36 <EvilBob> ArdRigh and FranciscoD, Good work
17:07:56 <EvilBob> Perfect support. Thanks alot! ArdRigh gave me a solution in a very detailed way.
17:08:00 <Sonar_Gal> Great work
17:08:20 <dcr226> sadly neither are here to collect their praise
17:08:27 <EvilBob> I'll close it after the meeting and pass the ticket info on to them when I see them
17:08:36 <dcr226> could perhaps #info you guys rock! I guess
17:09:09 <EvilBob> #info ArdRigh and FranciscoD, Good work
17:09:19 <EvilBob> Not sure that does anything
17:09:21 <EvilBob> ;)
17:09:38 <Discordian> I think #info just annotates the logs
17:09:46 <EvilBob> #topic ticket 117 - Troll sending sensitive information about other user in private, and assuming that me... are the people mentioned in the log.
17:09:47 <EvilBob> #link https://fedorahosted.org/irc-support-sig/ticket/117
17:09:55 <dcr226> EvilBob, it pops it in the meeting summary
17:10:23 <Sonar_Gal> This I say drop it as there was nothing there and go on our way
17:10:29 <EvilBob> This ticket is about private messages being sent by a user that has been a problem in the past.
17:10:40 <dcr226> +1, nothing to do with us, and nothing really happened anyway
17:10:45 <Discordian> +1
17:11:29 <Discordian> The only problem with the user is that they have been banned from #fedora-social and use #fedora to witter on
17:11:34 <EvilBob> Nothing we can really do about it so I will basically "Thanks for the info but it is out of our scope, please contact a Freenode Staffer about Private Messages"
17:11:37 <Discordian> but others do that
17:11:40 <dcr226> EvilBob, yeah
17:12:12 <EvilBob> anything else about this ticket?
17:12:15 <N3LRX> +1 EvilBob
17:12:17 <dcr226> I'm actually amazed at how many times the user in question can be told to "file a ticket" about his -social ban...and still not do it...and still keep asking how to get it removed
17:12:29 <dcr226> its like groundhog day
17:12:53 <EvilBob> #topic Open Floor
17:12:53 <EvilBob> Does anyone have anything to add?
17:13:15 <EvilBob> Remember don't team up on users in an excessive way.
17:13:39 <dcr226> the only feedback I have is...
17:13:44 <EvilBob> Try not to jump in when someone else is giving good and prompt help. "Too many cooks"
17:14:15 <dcr226> lets try to keep the bad advice in check, there's a couple of "helpers" that are really eager...but will not only give marginal advice...but pump the end user full of commands to copy/paste
17:14:27 <dcr226> which could end badly
17:15:09 <EvilBob> Yes that is a perfect time to jump in, also when the user is being pulled in to a PM if the "helper" is confronted on it.
17:15:20 <dcr226> yeah
17:15:41 <EvilBob> PM help is always a bad idea as there is no chance for peer review.
17:15:50 <EvilBob> that is what I normally send about it
17:16:10 <EvilBob> Thanks for coming Khaytsus
17:16:14 <EvilBob> endmeeting
17:16:17 <EvilBob> ;)
17:16:23 <Khaytsus> figured, heh, was working
17:16:39 <EvilBob> Khaytsus: Open Floor actually
17:17:27 <dcr226> Hah ^^
17:17:41 <EvilBob> Oh, one other thing we have addressed in the past that must have been overlooked. Socializing is allowed in #fedora providing it is not distracting from users getting help.
17:18:29 <EvilBob> If it is distracting, redirect the users. There was a little issue about this and I am not sure why last night.
17:19:23 <EvilBob> Two long time users were being told to go to -social because they were chatting about some software problem.
17:20:26 <EvilBob> Anything else for our Open Floor?
17:22:07 <EvilBob> Seeing nothing that will be one good bingo paying $68.75
17:22:19 <EvilBob> Oh wait, I was thinking about work
17:22:21 <EvilBob> ;)
17:22:45 <EvilBob> densebits: thanks for coming and showing interest
17:23:01 <Khaytsus> I didn't know this was show and tell day
17:23:33 <EvilBob> Have a wonderful week everyone. Always remember to wrap your package! Remember people early detection of breast cancer is the closest thing we have to a cure. Guys, remind your Girl to check, Girls... check the girls!
17:23:37 <densebits> EvilBob: np, just trying to do my small part.
17:24:01 <EvilBob> Sonar_Gal: can you send the meeting summary for me please?
17:24:12 <dcr226> huhhuh huhuh...you said "Small Part"
17:24:37 <Sonar_Gal> sure if you tell me how
17:24:40 <Sonar_Gal> Never done it
17:24:51 <EvilBob> Sonar_Gal: Yeah will help you out

Next meeting is scheduled for 2012-06-25 at 1500 UTC in #fedora-meeting.
If you have topics you think we should bring up at the meeting, please
add them to the Wiki page at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Meetings/20120625 . Thanks!
TOPIC: Previous meeting follow-up
=======================================================================
* adamw to review F17 retrospective and come up with an action
plan - not done yet, but he's working on it - this is mostly
complete and some parts will be discussed today
* adamw to work with rbergeron to make sure housekeeping gets
done for f16/f17/f18 - adam contacted robyn and spot, did not
yet receive replies
* tflink to fix up blocker bug page for new bugzilla, probably
as fedora-hosted static HTML rather than in MW - work is in
progress, hitting some 'proxy errors' from bugzilla but this
is likely an error on the server end not in the script
* tflink to set up QA git account - this has been done, see [1]
TOPIC: ARM as a primary arch
=======================================================================
* Supported ARM implementations are pandaboard, trimslice,
highbank, beagleboard, kirkwood and Raspberry Pi; currently
QA has a pandaboard and a trimslice, and some Pis on order.
Also an XO 1.75, which is not listed
* j_dulaney and nb believe there is budget available to get
more hardware
* With ARM as a primary arch, would we hold an entire release
due to one ARM implementation being broken?
TOPIC: Fedora 17 retrospective
=======================================================================
* We liked doing go/no-go on Thursdays and would like to
schedule it that way for F18
* We should aim to roll RCs as soon as possible after change
deadline rather than schedule a specific day for them
* No clear agreement on whether blocker meetings should be
moved, and if so, to when
* Bruno was not around to discuss his blocker list analysis
suggestion
TOPIC: AutoQA Update
=======================================================================
N/A
TOPIC: Open Floor
=======================================================================
N/A
ACTION ITEMS
=======================================================================
* adamw to start a list thread for further discussion of the
blocker review meeting time topic
* adamw to start a list thread about ways to analyze the corpus
of blocker bugs
