what is the actual deadline for applying as a project for Outreachy
- The log mentions #info Fedora is participating in the upcoming round of
Outreachy and we are looking for projects and mentors! Please submit to the
mentored projects repo by March 16th
- The blog at
https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/call-projects-mentors-outreachy-m...
mentions "The last day to propose a project or to apply as a general mentor
is March 23rd, 2022". and "The last date for projects idea submission is
March 3rd 2022."
We are asking folks to submit project ideas to the mentored projects repo
by March
16th in order to give us some time to help out, review, and
approve the projects. The deadline for entering the projects into the
Outreachy system is March 23rd. The second date on the commblog was
outdated, it's fixed now.
Also, are we participating in GSoC?
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/mentored-projects/gsoc/2021/
mentions that we did not participate in 2021. 2022 is not mentioned.
https://pagure.io/mentored-projects still mentions GSoC.
We applied to be a part of GSoC, but we were not accepted. They let us
know that is
because we do not have enough projects and that we should have
at least 4-5 in place at the time of applying.
Thanks
Till
