Dropping wine from ARM

Hi, Fedora currently ships Wine 7.3 released February 25th, 2022. Wine 7.4, released March 11th, started to require a 'llvm-mingw' compiler for ARM64 builds. Fedora ships the 'mingw-w64' gcc-based MinGW environment and does not ship the 'llvm' MinGW environment. Unlike the WineMono package, which bundles a 'llvm-mingw' compiler (that is removed and mingw-w64 is used), the Wine package does not bundle one and does not allow for an alternative compiler. I will need to drop ARM from Wine in order to continue shipping new updates. I do not have the bandwidth to package the llvm-mingw compiler toolchain, nor do I have the time right now to discuss this with upstream. Thanks, Michael

Linking fails with 32-bit vulkan libs

Hi, In trying to prepare the vkd3d library for cross-compiling I ran into a gcc/linker error. Reproducer: char main(void) { char vkGetInstanceProcAddr (); return vkGetInstanceProcAddr (); } $ i686-w64-mingw32-gcc -o test test.c -lvulkan-1 /usr/lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/11.2.1/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/ld: /tmp/ccvsAL1c.o:test.c:(.text+0xc): undefined reference to `vkGetInstanceProcAddr' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status The x86_64 compile works. This is on Rawhide. mingw32-gcc-11.2.1-7.fc37.x86_64 mingw32-vulkan-loader-1.3.204.0-1.fc37.noarch mingw64-gcc-11.2.1-7.fc37.x86_64 mingw64-vulkan-loader-1.3.204.0-1.fc37.noarch Has anyone seen this type of issue? So I'm trying to build a project that does have some nono instances of "using namespace std", however, I have removed them and I STILL get this error. Is it possible for mingw to conflict with itself?!?!? What now? From what I can tell (and I'm no C/C++ expert) this problem was introduced in C++17 so perhaps building in C++14 will work around the issue but I can't seem to find a REAL fix. New mingw-python-* dependency generator + review requests

Hi In mingw-filesystem-131 I've landed a new dependency generator for mingw-python packages, which uses pythondistdeps.py like the native python packages. This revealed two packages with unsatisfied requirements, which are therefore now FailsToInstall. mingw-openssl 3.0 update

Hi I've tested the mingw-openssl-3.0 update in this COPR repo [1]. All builds succeeded right away except for mingw-spice-gtk which I needed to update from version 0.37 to 0.39 (and as a dependency mingw-spice-protocol from version 0.14.0 to 0.14.3). If there are no objections I'd file a self-contained change to get this into F37. I'd also file a self-contained change for the toolchain updae (GCC12 and possibly binutils 2.38). ucrt plans ?

Hi Sandro & list, UCRT seems to be the recommended C runtime for a bit more than 2 years now. It solves issues with utf8, C standard, interop with MSVC etc. Do we have plans to start adding that target? Apparently we would need a new target prefix ucrt64-, and compile crt/headers --with-default-msvcrt=ucrt64 etc. I could eventually give it a shot. Regarding long-term plans, should we plan to drop 32 bit targets? it's a niche nowadays. thanks
