To itu.edu.tr person:

I cannot give you my IP because it is a non-sense idea.

To Fedora admin:

My internet is pretty fast and I do not have any systematic problems with any website, FTP, mail server, web page, or whatever. So it has nothing to do with me. Also, itu.edu.tr, just like most of the Turkish universities are always problematic, not only for Fedora mirrors. As you can see he doesn't even obey (or know) basic grammar rules, as he puts a semicolon after "hi". Of course you cannot expect accuracy, precision, or responsibility from such a person. Please check itu.edu.tr mirror randomly from time to time, and hopefully you will take back the mirror rights from this university later.

hi;

According to technical analysis, there was no problem about mirror.

In Jan 2, only 1 ip has recurrent timeout error when entering binary mode.

If you share your ip address, we can provide detailed information.

The MirrorManager crawler hasn’t seen anything unusual about this mirror today.  Copying the mirror owner.

Subject: mirror problem

Hi,

one of the mirrors of Fedora, namely the Turkish university itu.edu.tr seems to be very irresponsible. Their mirrors are almost always problematic. I cannot connect most of the time. Always timeout. Are the fedora admins checking for such problematic servers? Please remove these university from the mirror list.
