Hi,
I've used the URL
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/rsyncFilter?categories=Fedora%20Linux&since=${yesterday}&stripprefix=pub/fedora/linux
500 Internal error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it
from fulfilling the request.
to generate the fedora automatic excludes list which used to speed
up mirroring significantly but it seems to have
stopped after May 19th. And now after July 12th mirroring took
nearly a week and it still takes several days and usually fails
in middle of transfer. Even before that mirror times have increased
significantly making the mirror less usefull for users.
I've been using ftp2.kernel.org with account funetfi and
t2-fedora-enchilada target. I used to use ftp4.kernel.org
which then moved from Sweden to California. Now I'm trying it again
but don't think it's that fast. Will try public
enchilada in heanet.ie after that.
Is there better suggestions for targets for a t2 mirror in Europe? I
don't see the enchilada0 nor suggested buffet0 available on those
hosts nor in tu-chemnitz which would be close. I do get epel from
rsync.mirrorservice.org without problems, but that's not on the
tier1 list and is much smaller.
My current fedora mirror status is at
http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/files/mirrors/status/monitor.html?mirrorid=fedora.redhat.com:fedora
Error means some rsync error code, could just be wrong permissions
on one file or failed in the middle. Bit
hard to decipher except by looking at the logs. The stats show
amounts transferred and time it took (600 000 seconds is about a
week) so usually it does transfer a lot but report mirror seems to
have reported it as incomplete in mirror manager.
