Good afternoon,
We operate a mirror server for a number of open source projects and have recently added an EPEL mirror to the server, we would like to be added to the mirror list please.
You can find our mirror at https://mirror.freethought-internet.co.uk https://mirror.freethought-internet.co.uk/ (176.74.19.52 / 2a00:b980:2:5::52) - it is also available via rsync and FTP.
The mirror is located in North London on a 1Gbps connection through our own network which is well peered in the UK and has excellent upstream connectivity providers where we do not peer.
We have registered a site and mirror etc into mirror manager under our hostmaster@freethought-internet.co.uk mailto:hostmaster@freethought-internet.co.uk username, and also subscribed lists@freethought-internet.co.uk mailto:lists@freethought-internet.co.uk the mailing list.
Please let me know if there is anything else we need to do,
Thanks,
Kieran Jones Freethought Internet

Thanks for supporting Fedora.
I had a look at your MirrorManager entry and it looks correct. You should already see clients being re-directed to your mirror.
I see that the rsync URL you provide does not work:
$ rsync rsync://mirror.freethought-internet.co.uk/epel/ @ERROR: Unknown module 'epel' rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1648) [Receiver=3.1.2]
If that could be fixed our crawler could use rsync to crawl your mirror which would helps us a lot. Thanks.

Apologies, we had a small config error our side, that has been fixed and should now be working properly rsync also. We need to add more disk space to our mirror and then we will add the rest of the Fedora mirrors to it also, for the time being we’re just mirroring things we use internally really but slowly building up to other things.
Let me know if you find anything else that needs tweaking.

No problem. The crawler was now able to access your mirror via rsync and right now your mirror is part of the mirrorlist:
$ curl -s 'https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=epel-7&arch=x86_64&...' # repo = epel-7 arch = x86_64 country = GB https://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/epel/7/x86_64/ https://mirror.freethought-internet.co.uk/epel/7/x86_64/ https://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/
So everything seems to be correct now.
