Hello,

We recently received this automated message.  We are mirroring a wide variety of free software so are using our own standard mirroring method rather than distribution specific tools.

While I am looking at integrating the mirror_report script into those tools for the fedora mirror, I just wanted  to confirm - this is an optional feature correct, not a requirement for mirroring from our official fedora upstream source?

Correct, report_mirror is an optional feature. Checking all the mirrors
we have takes a lot of time so if you run report_mirror after your sync
we will know immediately if you are up to date or not. It helps, but it
is not required.
