Hello,
As part of the SIG revival, I was wondering if we should move our communications to Discourse. I believe it's a great way to increase engagement of the team and our tasks with the wider community.
A recent success story is the CommOps team who retired the mailing list in favour of Discourse. We can always ask the CommOps team for help, if need be.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Hello.
I think that it's a good idea how to make our SIG more visible to others.
I've just registered to discussion.fedoraproject.org and I am going to request a subcategory for us in the Special Interest Groups category.
Thank you!
Lumír
P.S.: Will you attend Flock?

That's great! I saw your request on the Site Feedback category. While we are waiting for a reply, I'll ask around in the CommOps team whether this is the right way to request a sub-category.

Unfortunately, no. However, I was wondering if we can have a virtual meeting. Being at Flock will give us an advantage to announce our plans to a huge audience and folks can probably join in for this virtual meeting (either over BlueJeans or Jitsi). We can discuss the further plans for the SIG and ways we can help the Fedora Project become a welcoming and helpful place for AI/ML enthusiasts.
Admittedly, my views might be too naive but I hope it encourages some action.
What do you think?
Thanks,
