I'm aware of the fact that 1.1. will be out in October, I'm reviewing
it as I go. If its anything like the 1.0 release it will be released
the day after F-14 :-| .The problem is the MeeGo project while yelling
about how open they are have yet to prove so. For the 1.1 release
they've currently said it will be out in October and that's it and
there's been no detailed schedule for it. So at the moment I am
targeting 1.0 as its a known quantity, as we progress forward I'll be
reviewing it and adjusting as appropriate. In a way "Watch this
space"!
As for package reviews I'll be posting an update to the list shortly
about the 1.0 merger status.
Given that Fedora 14 will ship GNOME 3.0 and gnome-shell, we probably
need a solution to the mutter/mutter-mbl fork. If upstream is still
committed to doing its own thing, how hard would it be to make MeeGo's
mutter be parallel-installable with upstream mutter? Should we look
into it, or are there some guarantees from the MeeGo side that the
differences will be resolved by the time 1.1 comes out?
Thanks,
