Well, I do feel dumb now, when I realized that folder-hook can be used with notmuch:// URIs perfectly.
Pardon my ignorance :)

Hello everyone, I'm a novice mutt/mutt-kz user, so please excuse me if this question does not belong to this list.
Previously, I was using mutt, set up to have multiple maildirs, and the identities were switched automatically, based on folder I was on (using folder-hooks).
What is the preferred way of handling multiple identities (I actually need sendmail an from changed between the identities), using mutt-kz and vfolders?
I see a few solutions:
- Switch the identities by a macro. I tried this, and in a few days I have already replied to two e-mails using the wrong one.
- Parse the message I'm replying to, trying to match to: and cc: headers for one of my identities to choose the right one. I think I have seen some examples for this for regular mutt, so this should be doable. This still has to be combined with 1st approach to select identity when composing new mail.
- Choose identity based on notmuch tag(s). I think I can automatically tag incoming messages, so this would fundamentally be the same as 2nd approach.
- ?
What do you use to manage multiple identities in mutt-kz (while not giving away vfolders)?
