FWN 288: status

Hi folks -

I have reset the beat column and am starting to work on my beats for an FWN this week. 
Fedora 16 is released today, so I think it is particularly important that we produce an
issue this week.

Who is with me?  Please respond if you can plan to produce a beat between now and Thursday
or so.  Thanks, team!

off a new release without an issue of FWN.

Sorry I couldn't make it last week, but I am reallio-trulio back to
writing the QA beat, working on one at this very moment in fact. I'll
get it in tonight and hopefully stay on schedule at least until F17

Via the "AskFedora" part of our plan of action.

I know I do a bare metal install for new releases because I want to see the 
function of the Live media installation (to file bugs, understand it to 
better explain it to others trying Fedora out, etc.)

but... for others, PreUpgrade is the best way to go. It has been around 
since Fedora 9 but it may be good to give it some visibility so folks new to 
Fedora realize they do not have to fresh install Fedora 16 on top of 15.

I am not sure which beat the topic would fit into though...

Ha! It is this silly windows netbook I use on the train.

There is no telling how long the setting has been this way, the logs don't 
even show complaints from time.windows.com oh well.
