Hi,
Since the weekly news has a high volume of content we have added a ToC
for a while now. What would be complimentary to this effort is a
summary/lead paragraph which has some of the best highlights and
invites/encourages/teases the reader to go further.
Also the reply to is currently set to fedora-list and probably a cc
should be set to this list too since not many editors seem to be
following the fedora list and we get comments occasionally which I have
been replying or forwarding to Thomas Chung.
Thorsten (CC'ed) said he uses a script to generate the summary of new
packages for EPEL. I would like to have that so that I contribute a
weekly list of new packages (which is several dozens. we are growing
massively!).

I wasn't aware of that.
I think the reply-to is configured by fedora-announcement-list.

I think the reply-to is configured by fedora-announcement-list.
You can talk to Mike McGrath about this and see what can be done.

With Mailman, I don't think there is a technical solution here.
f-announce-l will munge the reply-to thoroughly, no matter what it had
previously. At least, that's my experience.
We could put a prominent "FEEDBACK" link at the top of the email.

Well, that's an idea.
Currently, we put feedback section at the bottom the issue.
We could move that section on top or combine with introduction.

Not 100% sure, but it might be possible for mailman to not touch the
reply-to if one was set and set one is none was provided. But that
likely needs mailman adjustments.

Find it attached. Repo files and the script of course would need
adjustments for Fedora, but it should give you a start.
Note: the script works for me, but is just a quick write up. Some things
can likely be done in better ways.

Find it attached. Repo files and the script of course would need
adjustments for Fedora, but it should give you a start.
Can anyone help me with modifying these scripts to grab data from the
main Fedora repos instead of EPEL? I haven't had time to do this myself.
