Hello!

We also have another logo proposal. I like the bridges by the way, but it is not the only thing we are managing with nmstate.

That's why "building bridges between nodes" as in "connecting nodes" is the first reference. And to honor our bridging heritage ;)

What do you think about this one?

I find the bridge one more memorable and streamlined, but this is nice as well. I don't know if my opinion is relevant though.

Of course your opinion is relevant :-)

Oh you!

I think that the bridge logo fits better into the cloud-native landscape. The question I have is, how do we decide whether we want to use it for nmstate too. What are your plans, Fernando? What is the process behind this?

Oh, maybe we can use one for kubernetes-nmstate and another one for nmstate? What do you mean by my plans? Thanks!

I think we would benefit if we shared. More people following the logo, better chances of getting some shirts and stickers. If people on Kubernetes/OpenShift see that they are using nmstate, we have higher chances they would go to nmstate proper U/S, contribute...

I'm in favor of the bridge for kubernetes-nmstate just because it fits the design of the other projects and it low-key follows the navy topic of Kubernetes projects.

I mean how do you plan to decide on the logo. Just pick it internally, public vote, based on an opinion of a trade-mark expert.

Thanks!

Hello nmstate,

+Mary Shakshober was kind enough to create this awesome logo for nmstate! It shows a bridge since we are building bridges between hosts (and configuring linux bridges ;).

We were originally looking for kubernetes-nmstate logo, but I believe that sharing a single logo in the whole nmstate/ org would be the way to go.

Please let me know what you think. Are you in favor of using this logo for nmstate organization? Any notes about the logo?

Thanks a lot,
Petr
