I would like to draw attention to this issue:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1982933
It appears that some META files, at least, need to be in the main package, not in -devel. We've been inconsistent about this. Some OCaml packages have META in the main package, and some in -devel.
I also see that the latest ocaml-lablgtk3 build failed to build documentation correctly because it looked for %{_libdir}/ocaml/ocamldoc/META and failed to find it. Does the main ocaml package build generate a META file for ocamldoc?

I think I have tracked down all of the ocaml-*-devel packages with META files. Would anybody object if I make changes in git to move those to the corresponding main packages, then let the mass rebuild take care of the rest?

Not at all, please do so at your convenience.
Thanks!

Yes it sounds like a good idea, thanks for taking care of it. (I see some changes are happening already)

I think I've made all of the necessary changes now. If I broke anything, let me know and I'll fix it.

I'm expecting the new OCaml to come along soon which will mean a full rebuild:

I already know of a few version updates that will be needed for 4.13 support: - ocaml-migrate-parsetree 2.2.0 - ocaml-ppxlib 0.22.2 - ocaml-ppx-optcomp 0.14.2
When the time comes, let me know and I'll push those changes to git. I haven't done so already because each of those updates changes the ocaml(Foo) = xxxx hashes, therefore requiring rebuilds of all consumers.
