In your opinion, does this solve the problem Fedora was facing in terms of packaging/maintainability of Unison downstream, or is this not sufficient and there is something more that needs to be fixed (if so, what would it be)?
It's certainly excellent news that Stephane has implemented this. It opens the way to reintroducing unison into Fedora, although I don't have the time to do it myself. Suggest joining fedora-ocaml-devel list & discussing there.
