Hello, my name is gavin.   I am an engineer at Red Hat in support.  My 
background is as a contributer to gcc, g++, glibc, and gdb.  I've some 
experience with Python.  I've played with Squeak and EToys for years, 
though not done anything significant with them.  My children and I have 
two XO's that we play with.  I would be interested in 
seeing/doing/helping Squeak and EToys get packaged up for Fedora.   And 
would be willing to take on whatever other scutt work needs doing.

I'm not sure what to do about the Squeak licenceing issue.  Has anyone 
from Fedora contacted VPRI about this?

Squeak and EToys packages

I've started to put together Squeak and EToys spec files, based on both 
the ones in Bert's joyride rpms [2] and Gerard's Gemi rpms[1].  I'm 
hopeing Spot is takeing up the licenceing issues with RH legal, but if 
not I'll take a crack at it later.

I noticed that the joyride squeak-vm SRPM contains a tarball, 
Squeak-3.10-3.src.tar.gz, that doesn't appear to be available from 
squeakvm.org yet.   How is/was this tarball created?  Do you or Burt 
have some script for creating this tarball from the SVN server at 
squeakvm.org?
