I just found this software and trying to connect on the BeamConstruct software to an RTC 3 card. I think I have it set up to the correct files (and have tried many different things), but am continually getting "cannot allocate required resources" as an error whenever I try to run a pattern. I think it is connection to the software problem as this card does work with a different program that was being used). I was wondering if anyone had any tips, tricks, or suggestion on how to get this to work.
thanks for your time and help
I am new to OpenAPC and I am look for instruction on how you add tags from a PLC, or what OpenAPC calls a PLC tag (external tag)? I have tried searching the manual for tags, tagnames, tag names, communications, OPC... I think from what I have found so far that I need to use a plug-in to get data from a device but where does it go after that? How do I recall a tag for use on the graphics?
Either a direct answer or read chapter "XX" would be appreciated,

Dear OpenAPC follower,
openapc just announced version 2.5-1 of OpenAPC on Freecode.
The release notes for this version are as follows:
This release adds several new functionalities and enhancements, including a
position correction panel and -plugin for ControlRoom, a plugin for digital IOs
of Weecoboard 4M, camera integration for live images of the working area in
BeamConstruct, and several improvements and new functions in the SDK.
OpenAPC is an APC (Advanced Process Control) solution that is highly flexible
and configurable and covers a wide range of automation, visualization, and
process control tasks from home control up to industrial automation. Control
applications created with the OpenAPC editor's visual interface can perform
several tasks dependent on how the application is configured and used. The
application is available for many different platforms, so OpenAPC projects can
be switched over to a different platform easily.
