Fedora 8 Update: tcpflow-0.21-4.fc8

Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2008-3440
2008-05-09 22:13:26
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : tcpflow
Product : Fedora 8
Version : 0.21
Release : 4.fc8
URL : http://www.circlemud.org/~jelson/software/tcpflow/
Summary : Network traffic recorder
Description :
tcpflow is a program that captures data transmitted as part of TCP
connections (flows), and stores the data in a way that is convenient
for protocol analysis or debugging. A program like 'tcpdump' shows a
summary of packets seen on the wire, but usually doesn't store the
data that's actually being transmitted. In contrast, tcpflow
reconstructs the actual data streams and stores each flow in a
separate file for later analysis.

Name : sudo

Version : 1.6.9p4
Release : 6.fc8

Sudo (superuser do) allows a system administrator to give certain
users (or groups of users) the ability to run some (or all) commands
as root while logging all commands and arguments. Sudo operates on a
per-command basis. It is not a replacement for the shell. Features
include: the ability to restrict what commands a user may run on a
per-host basis, copious logging of each command (providing a clear
audit trail of who did what), a configurable timeout of the sudo
command, and the ability to use the same configuration file (sudoers)
on many different machines.

Fedora 8 Update: bittorrent-4.4.0-6.fc8
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2008-3166
2008-05-09 22:22:14
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : bittorrent
Product : Fedora 8
Version : 4.4.0
Release : 6.fc8
URL : http://www.bittorrent.com/
Summary : BitTorrent swarming network file transfer tool
Description :
BitTorrent is a tool for distributing files. It's extremely easy to use -
downloads are started by clicking on hyperlinks. Whenever more than one person
is downloading at once they send pieces of the file(s) to each other, thus
relieving the central server's bandwidth burden. Even with many simultaneous
downloads, the upload burden on the central server remains quite small, since
each new downloader introduces new upload capacity.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This is a cumulative bugfix release, fixing the failure to save fastresume data
properly when exiting (#245421), missing credits information (#237256), improved
documentation on seed/tracker setup (#430849), and removal of some deprecated
function warnings. A significant change in this update is that the default
data directory for the seed/tracker services has moved from /srv/bittorrent to
/var/lib/bittorrent. People using the btseed/bttrack services will need to
either move their data to the new location or edit /etc/sysconfig/bittorrent to
change the SEEDDIR and/or TRACKDIR variables back to /srv/bittorrent. This
change has been made because Fedora policy is not to package anything under /srv
and leave it to admins as to what to put there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2008-3406
2008-05-09 22:20:31
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : eet
Product : Fedora 8
Version : 1.0.0
Release : 1.fc8
URL : http://web.enlightenment.org/p.php?p=about/efl/eet
Summary : Library for speedy data storage, retrieval, and compression
Description :
Eet is a tiny library designed to write an arbitary set of chunks of
data to a file and optionally compress each chunk (very much like a
zip file) and allow fast random-access reading of the file later
on. It does not do zip as a zip itself has more complexity than is
needed, and it was much simpler to implement this once here.
It also can encode and decode data structures in memory, as well as
image data for saving to eet files or sending across the network to
other machines, or just writing to arbitary files on the system. All
data is encoded in a platform independent way and can be written and
read by any architecture.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This package doesn't make much sense standalone as nothing in repositories
depend on it yet, but i plan to push e17 and other e-apps soon, which use this
tiny library.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use
