Fedora 12 Update: pstreams-devel-0.7.0-1.fc12
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2010-8516
2010-05-13 18:50:53
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : pstreams-devel
Product : Fedora 12
Version : 0.7.0
Release : 1.fc12
URL : http://pstreams.sourceforge.net/
Summary : POSIX Process Control in C++
Description :
PStreams class is like a C++ wrapper for the POSIX.2 functions
popen(3) and pclose(3), using C++ iostreams instead of C's stdio
library.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
>From upstream "There is one change in behaviour in the new release: when
opening a pstream for reading with pstderr the pstdout mode is no longer added
automatically, and the initial read source will be set to the child process'
stderr stream. I've checked the pdf2djvu package and its use of pstreams will
not be affected, because it explicitly passes both pstdout|pstderr to the
ipstream constructor." Changelog file has more details. Some changes (main
ones I found): - Remove preprocessor check for Sun CC and define typedefs
unconditionally. - pstream.h: Don't add pstdout to ipstream mode if pstderr
given. Set initial mode correctly on open. Bump version to 0.7.0 due to change
in behaviour. - Remove std qualifiers on FILE as <stdio.h> is included and not
<cstdio>. - Bug 2118980: Use more portable UTF-32 as iconv target. - Fix bug
2118980: generate dependency for test_pstreams

ChangeLog:
* Wed May 12 2010 Jonathan Wakely <pstreams(a)kayari.org> - 0.7.0-1

Fedora 13 Update: oggconvert-0.3.3-1.fc13

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2010-9274
2010-05-31 17:42:17
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : oggconvert
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 0.3.3
Release : 1.fc13
URL : http://launchpad.net/oggconvert
Summary : Convert media files to Free formats
Description :
OggConvert is a small GNOME utility that uses GStreamer
to convert media files to the patent-free Theora
and Vorbis formats. It also supports the Dirac format,
through the schrodinger codec. It's painfully easy to use,
changing the quality settings and the output
filename is simple. It uses GStreamer, so it can
convert (almost) any file which Totem can play.
It can deal with audio-only files, video-only files,
and files with many audio tracks (such as DVD rips with
a commentary track). Thanks to the magic of GStreamer, metadata
(for example, title and artist info on an MP3) is preserved.
Finally, it adheres to the GNOME HIG as much as possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Fixes detection of Dirac codec, enables WebM encoding via GStreamer if
gstreamer-plugins-bad includes the codecs needed.

* Mon May 24 2010 Neal Gompa <ngompa13{%}gmail{*}com> - 0.3.3-1
