--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : flex
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 2.5.35
Release : 11.fc13
URL : http://flex.sourceforge.net/
Summary : A tool for creating scanners (text pattern recognizers)
Description :
The flex program generates scanners. Scanners are programs which can
recognize lexical patterns in text. Flex takes pairs of regular
expressions and C code as input and generates a C source file as
output. The output file is compiled and linked with a library to
produce an executable. The executable searches through its input for
occurrences of the regular expressions. When a match is found, it
executes the corresponding C code. Flex was designed to work with
both Yacc and Bison, and is used by many programs as part of their
build process.
You should install flex if you are going to use your system for
application development.

Fedora 12 Update: xrootd-20100315-3.fc12

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : xrootd
Product : Fedora 12
Version : 20100315
Release : 3.fc12
URL : http://xrootd.slac.stanford.edu/
Summary : Extended ROOT file server
Description :
The Extended root file server consists of a file server called xrootd
and a clustering server called olbd.
The server names are historical. The xrootd server was developed for
the root analysis framework to serve root files. However, the server
is agnostic to filetypes and provides POSIX-like access to any type
of file. The olbd server was originally developed to cluster and load
balance Objectivity/DB AMS database servers. Because the olbd was
designed to work independently of the data server, it was easily
usable with xrootd.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
This update fixes the broken jar in the xrootd-client-admin-java package.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use
su -c 'yum update xrootd' at the command line.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : bitlbee
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 1.2.8
Release : 1.fc13
URL : http://www.bitlbee.org/
Summary : IRC to other chat networks gateway
Description :
Bitlbee is an IRC to other chat networks gateway. Bitlbee can be used as
an IRC server which forwards everything you say to people on other chat
networks like ICQ/AIM, MSN, XMPP/Jabber (including Google Talk), Yahoo or
Twitter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
- Now always using the AIM-style authentication method for OSCAR connections,
even when connecting to ICQ. This solves login issues some people were having.
(If you have problems, try changing the old_icq_auth setting.) - Twitter:
- Allow changing the Twitter API base URL so the module can also be used for
identi.ca or any other compatible network. - Fetch the full list of Twitter
contacts instead of slowly adding all contacts as they post a message. -
Fixed message length counting. - Allow following/unfollowing people using
the usual add/remove commands. - Better error reporting. - Added a
user_agent setting to the Jabber module to get around artificial client
restrictions. - Allow nick changes (although only before register/identify).
- Some more minor bugfixes/etc.

Fedora 12 Update: gl2ps-1.3.5-1.fc12
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2010-10653
2010-07-01 18:08:58
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : gl2ps
Product : Fedora 12
Version : 1.3.5
Release : 1.fc12
URL : http://www.geuz.org/gl2ps/
Summary : An OpenGL to PostScript printing library
Description :
GL2PS is a C library providing high quality vector output for any
OpenGL application. The main difference between GL2PS and other
similar libraries is the use of sorting algorithms capable of handling
intersecting and stretched polygons, as well as non manifold objects.
GL2PS provides advanced smooth shading and text rendering, culling of
invisible primitives, mixed vector/bitmap output, and much more...
GL2PS can currently create PostScript (PS), Encapsulated PostScript
(EPS) and Portable Document Format (PDF) files, as well as LaTeX files
for the text fragments. Adding new vector output formats should be
relatively easy (and amongst the formats we would be interested in
adding, SVG is first in line). Meanwhile, you can use the excellent
pstoedit program to transform the PostScript files generated by GL2PS
into many other vector formats such as xfig, cgm, wmf, etc.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
GL2PS update to latest stable release, upstream changelog: * added support
for rotated text in PDF output * fixed PDF image output when compiled in 64 bit
mode * added cmake configuration Gabedit update to latest stable release,
upstream changelog: * Computing of AIM charges [See W. Tang et al J. Phys.
Cond. Matt. 21, 084204(09)] * Bug fixed for reading beta orbitals form orca
output file.
