Fedora 13 Update: atari++-1.60-1.fc13
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2011-6950
2011-05-13 22:26:20
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : atari++
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 1.60
Release : 1.fc13
URL : http://www.xl-project.com/
Summary : Unix based emulator of the Atari eight bit computers
Description :
The Atari++ Emulator is a Unix based emulator of the Atari eight bit
computers, namely the Atari 400 and 800, the Atari 400XL, 800XL and 130XE,
and the Atari 5200 game console. The emulator is auto-configurable and
will compile on a variety of systems (Linux, Solaris, Irix).
Atari++ 1.30 and up contain a built-in ROM emulation that tries to mimic
the AtariXL operating system closely.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Atari++ 1.59
- Fixed the Antic DMA cycle allocation for narrow playfields. Due to misalignment between various DMA allocation slots, more cycles were available to the CPU than possible in the original hardware.
- Added a cycle-precise Pokey emulation that updates interrupt registers and potentiometer registers on a cycle-by-cycle basis.
Atari++ 1.60
- Redesigned parts of the pokey emulation. The new version offers the option to be cycle-precise, i.e. pokey interrupts (POTs and timers) arrive now at the cycle. This improves the audio output for the "Electronic Speach Systems of Berkeley" considerably. (Kennedy Approach and others)
- Redesigned parts of the audio interfaces. The smarter audio output count now clock cycles and generate output for exactly the number of clocks passed. The output frequency still requires dynamic adjustment since the CPU load of the host system is never precisely in sync with the emulated clock.
- The control mechanism to bring the emulated clock and the system clock in sync has been improved, it is now a PID type of control loop that gets faster in sync than the previous versions.
- The improved audio output is available currently only for the ALSA and DirectX audio output chains. Oss/OssHQ and SDL remain unaltered. There is, however, little reason to fall back to the less precise chains. Prefer ALSA on Linux and DirectX on Windows.
- The parser for the keypad stick emulation was still buggy (oh bummer!) and was finally fixed. "Space" and " " can now both be used.
- The windows emulation of the readdir() primtives still had a bug and could crash the emulator on accessing a network volume. Fixed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ChangeLog:
* Fri May 13 2011 Dan Horák <dan[at]danny.cz> 1.60-1
- updated to version 1.60
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use
su -c 'yum update atari++' at the command line.

Fedora 13 Update: drbdlinks-1.19-1.fc13
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2011-7160
2011-05-17 20:28:04
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : drbdlinks
Product : Fedora 13
Version : 1.19
Release : 1.fc13
URL : http://www.tummy.com/Community/software/drbdlinks/
Summary : A program for managing links into a DRBD shared partition
Description :
The drbdlinks program manages links into a DRBD partition which is shared
among several machines. A simple configuration file, "/etc/drbdlinks.conf",
specifies the links. This can be used to manage e.g. links for /etc/httpd,
/var/lib/pgsql and other system directories that need to appear as if they
are local to the system when running applications after the drbd shared
partition has been mounted.
When running drbdlinks with "start" as the mode, drbdlinks will rename the
existing files/directories and then make symbolic links into the DRBD
partition, "stop" does the reverse. By default, rename appends ".drbdlinks"
to the name, but this can be overridden.
An init script is included which runs "stop" before heartbeat starts, and
after heartbeat stops. This is done to try to ensure that when the shared
partition isn't mounted, the links are in their normal state.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Upstream changes for drbdlinks 1.19:
* Changing cron restarting to look for init script existance instead of pid-file
