Update Information:
Update to the latest stable version. Also, a python3 subpackage is built, were applicable.
From the upstream changelog:
* [issue #78, issue #77] Add "metadata" extra (github.com/slomo).
* New fenced-code-blocks extra. It allows a code block to not have to be indented by fencing it with '```' on a line before and after. Based on GFM.
* Deprecate code-color extra. Use the fenced-code-block extra and its cleaner mechanism for specifying the language, instead. This extra will be removed in v2.0 or so.
* [issue #80] Jython 2.2.1 support fix (by github.com/clach04)
* [issue #64] Python 3 support! markdown2.py supports Python 2 and 3 in the same file without requiring install-time 2to3 transformation.
* [issue #83, 'fenced-code-blocks' and 'code-color' extras] Allow 'cssclass' code coloring option (passed to pygments) to be overridden (by https://github.com/kaishaku).
* [issue #86, 'fenced-code-blocks' extra] Fix fenced code blocks not being parsed out before other syntax elements, like headers.
* Fix code blocks and fenced-code-blocks to work with a single leading newline at the start of the input.
* [issue #67] Fix an sub-ul inside a ol not working with an indent less than 4 spaces.
* [issue #84, issue #87] Fix problems with fenced-code-blocks getting double-processed.

Fedora 17 Update: rosegarden4-12.04-3.fc17
by updates@fedoraproject.org
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Update Notification
FEDORA-2012-7815
2012-05-14 00:39:09
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : rosegarden4
Product : Fedora 17
Version : 12.04
Release : 3.fc17
URL : http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/
Summary : MIDI, audio and notation editor
Description :
Rosegarden is a professional audio and MIDI sequencer, score editor, and
general purpose music composition and editing environment.
Rosegarden is an easy to learn, attractive application, ideal for composers,
musicians, music students, and small studio or home recording environments.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
The Rosegarden team is proud to announce the release of version 12.04 of Rosegarden, an audio and MIDI sequencer and musical notation editor for Linux.
The most notable change for this release is a feature we hope you will find to be completely transparent. Tom has labored for months to get through a gauntlet of challenges and deliver automatic MIDI channel allocation. Instead of having a permanent, fixed relationship between, for example, instrument #1 and channel 1, instruments float by default, and grab channels on an as-needed basis. As control over a channel passes from one instrument to another, the controller state is preserved such that problems with sustain controllers, pitch bends and so on getting out of sync should be eliminated. Segments may be moved about freely with no concern about the pitch bend in this one conflicting with the pitch bend in that one, even though they both reside on the same track.
You may experience minor problems with existing compositions. If so, these problems can usually be solved by setting certain instruments to fixed instead of auto.
===== Major Changes =====
* Code cleanup, commenting, and simplification
* Extensive reworking of certain aspects of the track editor to enhance performance, improve reliability, and reduce bugs
* Fix for bug #3466912
* Fixed a crash when adding a track after going from record to stop
* Fixed a crash on add track, undo, redo, load RG sequence
* Fixed a track label clobbering bug
* Miscellaneous bug fixes. (r12815, r12816, r12842)
* Fixed a bug where icons were not appearing on the instrument popup menu
* Fixed a bug where two tracks with the same instrument could be armed at the same time
* Added some missing GPL license text
* Fixed a static init order bug that would cause playback to not work for some users
* Handle tempo ramps during MIDI export
* Handle ornaments during MIDI export
* New logical instruments that allocate channels on the fly
