Name : python-tornado
Product : Fedora 41
Version : 6.3.3
Release : 9.fc41
URL : https://www.tornadoweb.org
Summary : Scalable, non-blocking web server and tools
Description :
Tornado is an open source version of the scalable, non-blocking web
server and tools.
The framework is distinct from most mainstream web server frameworks
(and certainly most Python frameworks) because it is non-blocking and
reasonably fast. Because it is non-blocking and uses epoll, it can
handle thousands of simultaneous standing connections, which means it is
ideal for real-time web services.

Name : gnome-shell-extension-argos
Product : Fedora 41
Version : 3^20250327git1326404
Release : 3.fc41
URL : https://github.com/p-e-w/argos
Summary : Create GNOME Shell extensions in seconds
Description :
Most GNOME Shell extensions do one thing: Add a button with a dropdown menu to
the panel, displaying information and exposing functionality. Even in its
simplest form, creating such an extension is a nontrivial task involving a
poorly documented and ever-changing JavaScript API.
Argos lets you write GNOME Shell extensions in a language that every Linux user
is already intimately familiar with: Bash scripts.
More precisely, Argos is a GNOME Shell extension that turns executables'
standard output into panel dropdown menus. It is inspired by, and fully
compatible with, the BitBar app for macOS. Argos supports many BitBar plugins
without modifications, giving you access to a large library of well-tested
scripts in addition to being able to write your own.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : python3.14
Product : Fedora 41
Version : 3.14.0~b2
Release : 1.fc41
URL : https://www.python.org/
Summary : Version 3.14 of the Python interpreter
Description :
Python 3.14 is an accessible, high-level, dynamically typed, interpreted
programming language, designed with an emphasis on code readability.
It includes an extensive standard library, and has a vast ecosystem of
third-party libraries.
The python3.14 package provides the "python3.14" executable: the reference
interpreter for the Python language, version 3.
The majority of its standard library is provided in the python3.14-libs package,
which should be installed automatically along with python3.14.
The remaining parts of the Python standard library are broken out into the
python3.14-tkinter and python3.14-test packages, which may need to be installed
separately.
Documentation for Python is provided in the python3.14-docs package.
Packages containing additional libraries for Python are generally named with
the "python3.14-" prefix.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:
Python 3.14.0b2
This is a beta preview of Python 3.14
Python 3.14 is still in development. This release, 3.14.0b2, is the second of
four planned beta releases.
Beta release previews are intended to give the wider community the opportunity
to test new features and bug fixes and to prepare their projects to support the
new feature release.
We strongly encourage maintainers of third-party Python projects to test with
3.14 during the beta phase and report issues found to the Python bug tracker as
soon as possible. While the release is planned to be feature-complete entering
the beta phase, it is possible that features may be modified or, in rare cases,
deleted up until the start of the release candidate phase (Tuesday 2025-07-22).
Our goal is to have no ABI changes after beta 4 and as few code changes as
possible after the first release candidate. To achieve that, it will be
extremely important to get as much exposure for 3.14 as possible during the beta
phase.
This includes creating pre-release wheels for 3.14, as it helps other projects
to do their own testing. However, we recommend that your regular production
releases wait until 3.14.0rc1, to avoid the risk of ABI breaks.
Please keep in mind that this is a preview release and its use is not
recommended for production environments.

Name : iotop-c
Product : Fedora 41
Version : 1.30
Release : 1.fc41
URL : https://github.com/Tomas-M/iotop/
Summary : Simple top-like I/O monitor (implemented in C)
Description :
iotop-c does for I/O usage what top(1) does for CPU usage. It watches I/O
usage information output by the Linux kernel and displays a table of
current I/O usage by processes on the system. It is handy for answering
the question "Why is the disk churning so much?".
iotop-c requires a Linux kernel built with the CONFIG_TASKSTATS,
CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT, CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING and
CONFIG_VM_EVENT_COUNTERS config options on.
iotop-c is an alternative re-implementation of iotop in C, optimized for
performance. Normally a monitoring tool intended to be used on a system
under heavy stress should use the least additional resources as
possible.
