FEDORA-2017-561942797a
2017-03-30 19:37:39.482489
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : openqa
Product : Fedora 25
Version : 4.4
Release : 44.20170130git8cc04a2.fc25
URL :
http://os-autoinst.github.io/openQA/
Summary : OS-level automated testing framework
Description :
openQA is a framework for operating system-level automated testing.
It consists of three parts. This package contains the web interface,
API, and scheduler. The worker component, which supervises test
execution, is available in the openqa-worker package. The test engine,
os-autoinst, is available in the os-autoinst package.

Update Information:
The previous openQA build revised a previously-existing downstream patch to make
openQA automatically duplicate jobs in more cases than it does upstream (we
prefer this behaviour in Fedora due to issues like [this qemu
bug](https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1403343)). However, the new
version of the patch had a problem which resulted in worker processes exiting
when jobs ended with a state `died`, as well as when they ended with a state
`quit`. This was not intentional and causes unfortunate consequences like syntax
errors in tests causing worker processes to quit. This update should resolve
that problem, by adjusting the patch so worker processes will now only exit when
jobs end in state `quit`, as intended. The update also introduces a new
subpackage, `openqa-plugin-fedoraupdaterestart`, containing an openQA plugin
which automatically restarts update tests that fail (one time). This is intended
to mitigate the efffect of transient failures in the update tests. It is tied to
Fedora expectations (specifically the flavor names used for update tests), it is
not generically useful. The update also backports a new feature we contributed
upstream to allow configuration of the sort order for builds on the main
overview and group overview pages. Fedora build values do not sort as dotted
versions as openQA expected, so Rawhide builds would always sort ahead of any
others, and update builds showed in an essentially random order. This update
will allow us to configure openQA to display builds ordered by job creation
time, which should work better for Fedora's purposes. Finally, the update
backports a [
fix](https://github.com/os-autoinst/openQA/pull/1215) for a bug
that caused worker processes to quit after any failed API call.
