-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2018-73afee73c9 2018-12-31 01:56:43.806137 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name : lyx Product : Fedora 28 Version : 2.3.2 Release : 1.fc28 URL : http://www.lyx.org/ Summary : WYSIWYM (What You See Is What You Mean) document processor Description : LyX is a modern approach to writing documents which breaks with the obsolete "typewriter paradigm" of most other document preparation systems.
It is designed for people who want professional quality output with a minimum of time and effort, without becoming specialists in typesetting.
The major innovation in LyX is WYSIWYM (What You See Is What You Mean). That is, the author focuses on content, not on the details of formatting. This allows for greater productivity, and leaves the final typesetting to the backends (like LaTeX) that are specifically designed for the task.
With LyX, the author can concentrate on the contents of his writing, and let the computer take care of the rest.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information:
LyX 2.3.2 is the result of on-going efforts to make our stable version more reliable and more stable. We have fixed a number of problems with the output of right-to-left languages, thanks to the involvement of users. There was also an infinite loop bug connected with the separation of environments that has been fixed. But, for the most part, the fixes here are incremental. See the release announce for more details: https://www.lyx.org/announce/2_3_2.txt With this version in Fedora python 3 is the preferred version to be used with scripts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog:
