@Christoph and Patrice: Could you please analyze which library is different on your systems?
Do you have any special packages in mind? As Fedora 9 has just been released there shouldn't be much difference between F9 and Rawhide ATM and others also reported ristretto to crash on the Rawhide that has now become F9.
I have switched back to i386 when I installed F9, so maybe this only happens on x86_64?
