Summary: Review Request: transmission - lightweight GTK+
BitTorrent client
Product: Fedora Extras
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: normal
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: denis(a)poolshark.org
QAContact: fedora-package-review(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://www.poolshark.org/src/transmission.spec
SRPM URL: http://www.poolshark.org/src/transmission-0.6.1-1.src.rpm
Description:
Transmission is a free, lightweight BitTorrent client. It features a
simple, intuitive interface on top on an efficient, cross-platform
back-end.
Notes from packager:
- Transmission is primarily a MacOSX application but provides a nice simple GTK+ backend.
- It uses a custom simplistic build system that requires a patch to make install things at the expected locations
- configure needs a patch to fix an incorrect gtk+ version comparison (numerically 2.10 < 2.6 :-) )

Spec URL: http://users.telenet.be/quenta/SPECS/xorg-x11-server-Xgl.spec
SRPM URL: http://users.telenet.be/quenta/repo/xorg-x11-server-Xgl-1.1.99.1-1.src.rpm
Description:
Xgl is an Xserver that uses OpenGL for its drawing operations. Some
operations like antialiased font rendering is noticably faster with
this technology, and future graphics hardware might only have support
for 3D operations and no 2D core any more.
For compile xgl, I have only must update xorg-x11-proto-devel from the Tom's srpms.
xorg-x11-proto-devel updated source:
compositeproto - > 0.3
fixesproto - > 4.0
scrnsaverproto - > 1.1.0
For all the others build requieres, I have just recompiler those provided by Tom.
This paquage is based on that proposed by Tom Callaway for FC3TEST3 and that of suse, i have especially use these of suse in order to find a stable version of (compiz, xgl and mesa), packaged by the developer of the program it self.
They are my first paquackages and I need a sponsor.
regards,
Al

Spec URL: http://miskatonic.cs.nmsu.edu/pub/clips.spec
SRPM URL: http://miskatonic.cs.nmsu.edu/pub/fedora/5/srpms/clips-6.23-1.src.rpm
Description:
CLIPS is a productive development and delivery expert system tool which provides a complete environment for the construction of rule and/or object based expert systems. Created in 1985 by NASA, CLIPS is now widely used throughout the government, industry, and academia.
The public domain release of CLIPS by NASA contains code to create the clips
command line interpreter and xclips, an X11 CLIPS gui.
This package contains a patch for Linux released under the GPLv2 that does the following:
- Adds autotool support to build libclips as a libtool library. This library can be used to build embedded CLIPS applications.
- Builds clips and xclips as applications linked against libclips rather than statically including the clips code
- Installs the proper clips headers for developing embedded CLIPS applications under /usr/include/clips-6.23
- Clean up some minor code points that prevented 6.23 from compiling under Linux
Since the original code was released into the public domain, and I have released the Linux patch under GPLv2 I have set the License tag as GPL.
