Summary: Pup dialog appears on screen even when running programs
in full screen mode
Product: Fedora
Version: 8
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: low
Priority: low
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: hedleyproctor(a)yahoo.co.uk
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-package-review@redhat.com,notting(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
I have noticed a minor problem with the package updater (pup) and running
programs in full screen mode. e.g. If I play the game Glest, it runs in full
screen mode, but occasionally whilst playing the package updater pops on to the
screen with a message about new updates. The problem is that once the dialog has
appeared it is impossible to get rid of it, because if a program is operating in
full screen mode then obviously all the mouse and keyboard input is captured by
the program, not fed to the desktop.
I guess this could be fixed by pup checking if a full screen mode program was
running before displaying its dialog box.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 8
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run a program in full screen mode.
2. Wait for new packages to become available via pup.
3. Observe that the pup dialog box appears on the screen and can't be got rid of.

Summary: Review Request: labyrinth - Simple but powerful mind-
mapping software for GNOME
Product: Fedora Extras
Version: devel
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: normal
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: peter(a)thecodergeek.com

Spec URL: http://thecodergeek.com/downloads/fedora/labyrinth.spec
SRPM URL: http://thecodergeek.com/downloads/fedora/labyrinth-0.3-1.src.rpm
Description: (Taken from the website's "About" page, as well as Wikipedia's explanation of a mind-map.)
Labyrinth is a lightweight mind-mapping tool, written in Python using Gtk and
Cairo to do the drawing. It is intended to be as light and intuitive as
possible, but still provide a wide range of powerful features.
A mind-map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items
linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. It is used
to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid in study,
organization, problem solving, and decision making.
rpmlint is silent on both source and binary (noarch) RPMs.

[Bug 429712] New: Review Request: ipa - The Identity, Policy and Audit system

Summary: Review Request: ipa - The Identity, Policy and Audit
system
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: rcritten(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora-package-review@redhat.com,notting(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://rcritten.fedorapeople.org/ipa.spec
SRPM URL: http://rcritten.fedorapeople.org/ipa-0.99-1.fc7.src.rpm
Description:
IPA is an integrated solution to provide centrally managed Identity (machine,
user, virtual machines, groups, authentication credentials), Policy
(configuration settings, access control information) and Audit (events,
logs, analysis thereof).
This is a unified spec file creating the client, server, libraries and tools packages needed by IPA.
A couple of notes:
- rpmlint of ipa-server will complain about the libcap dependency. This dependency is not automatically added by rpm.
- rpmlint will complain about 2 files in /usr/share/ipa/html that are marked as config(noreplace). These are user-modifiable web content files that I don't want to overwrite on upgrades but didn't know how to mark otherwise.
The spec includes instructions on creating the tar.gz. We are very close but not ready yet to tag/branch at 1.0 but want to get the spec under review, hence the 0.99 versioning.

[Bug 428352] New: Review Request: fedora-idm-console:
by Red Hat Bugzilla

Product: Fedora

QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: dennis(a)ausil.us,fedora-package-

Spec URL: http://rmeggins.fedorapeople.org/fedora-idm-console.spec
SRPM URL: http://rmeggins.fedorapeople.org/fedora-idm-console-1.1.1-1.src.rpm
Description: This provides the Fedora branded console for use with
idm-console-framework for Fedora Directory Server.
Builds in mock, both f-8 i386 and x86_64.
rpmlint says "E: no-binary". This will require a bit of explanation:
There appears to be a bug in Java. The default Java java.library.path uses
/usr/lib even on 64bit systems. This means that if the app uses JNI, it will
not find the 64-bit libs by default. The argument
-Djava.library.path=%{_libdir} must be passed to the JRE. This means the
package becomes an arch specific package, even though there are no arch specific
binaries in the package. This appears to be a bug in Sun Java, IBM Java, and in
IcedTea Java.
So I would like to propose that this particular rpmlint error be waived for the
fedora package review.
