Consistent Signal Handling

Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: normal
Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: andreas(a)bawue.net
QAContact: fedora-package-review(a)redhat.com
Spec URL: http://home.bawue.de/~ixs/perl-Sys-SigAction/perl-Sys-SigAction.spec
SRPM URL: http://home.bawue.de/~ixs/perl-Sys-SigAction/perl-Sys-SigAction-0.10-1.src.…
Description:
Sys::SigAction provides EASY access to POSIX::sigaction() for signal
handling on systems that support sigaction().
It is hoped that with the use of this module, your signal handling
behavior can be coded in a way that does not change from one perl
version to the next, and that sigaction() will be easier for you to use.

With Zeitgeist now in Fedora

Target Release: ---
Spec URL: http://kvolny.fedorapeople.org/lingot.spec
SRPM URL: http://kvolny.fedorapeople.org/lingot-0.7.6-1.fc11.src.rpm
Description: LINGOT is a musical instrument tuner. It's accurate, easy to use,
and highly configurable. Originally conceived to tune electric guitars, its
configurability gives it a more general character.
it builds in koji - http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=1611459
rpmlint does not complain
two notes:
* I don't know of any better way how to run this than to use aoss - I've put it
into the .desktop file, but running simply "lingot" from the commandline will
fail ... I doubt this is worth adding README.Fedora; as it is graphical
application, it is supposed to be run via the launcher (.desktop) file
* the package installs svg icon, but no cache updating is done - it seems that
xdg-icon-resource works just with .png and .xpm while gtk-update-icon-cache is
run on /user/share/icons and not on /usr/share/pixmaps

Product: Fedora
Version: 12

Component: Package Review
AssignedTo: nobody(a)fedoraproject.org
ReportedBy: rebus(a)seznam.cz
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: notting(a)redhat.com, fedora-package-review(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Spec URL: http://rebus.webz.cz/d/scponly.spec
SRPM URL: http://rebus.webz.cz/d/scponly-4.8-1.fc12.src.rpm2
License: BSD
Description:
scponly is an alternative 'shell' for system administrators
who would like to provide access to remote users to both
read and write local files without providing any remote
execution privileges. Functionally, it is best described
as a wrapper to the "tried and true" ssh suite of applications.
Hello, please would be someone so kind and willing to do review
of the scponly package and approve it for fedora?
I do not have any package in Fedora sofar so I would humbly ask for sponsoring
as well.
Output from the rpmlint :
$rpmlint scponly-4.8-1.fc12.src.rpm scponly-4.8-1.fc12.i686.rpm
scponly-debuginfo-4.8-1.fc12.i686.rpm
scponly.i686: E: setuid-binary /usr/sbin/scponlyc root 04755
scponly.i686: E: non-standard-executable-perm /usr/sbin/scponlyc 04755
3 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 2 errors, 0 warnings.
Please note the setuid is needed to be able to perform the chroot operation.
Commands itself are never executed with uid 0 by the scponly.
Thank you.
