Ok. After asking some questions to the dev team it looks like you have to do
this for darkplaces:

make DP_CRYPTO_STATIC_LIBDIR="/usr/local/lib"
DP_CRYPTO_RIJNDAEL_STATIC_LIBDIR="/usr/local/lib" release

However i get linking errors with that: http://sprunge.us/hiiY

I am still waiting for reply from dev team for which target to use for
compiling
