Ok. I asked for how to link zlib and curl at build time...
They told me that there was a debian package that had a patch for doing this.
However i was unable to find this package (official status on debian is that
somebody is working on packaging xonotic, but no builds yet). So far nobody of
the xonotic developers knew where to find this patches.

Is it required to link at compile time for zlib and curl?

If so i will ask the development team to provide patches for this.
