Spec URL: https://github.com/dell/sassist/blob/master/pkg/sassist.spec SRPM URL: https://github.com/dell/sassist/releases/download/0.8.1/sassist-0.8.0-1.el7.... Description: Dell SupportAssist log collector for Linux. Fedora Account System Username: charlesrose
Detailed Description: Dell iDRAC can trigger OS configuration and log collection (with sosreport) to help with debugging customer issues in the field.
Dell PowerEdge Servers running fedora with "sassist" installed and enabled will be able to satisfy Dell iDRAC requests to collect OS config/log information and pass it over via a virtual USB block device along with checksum information. The logs are then combined by Dell iDRAC with other useful server troubleshooting information to assist the support personnel debug issues.
In the near future, this package will also support extraction of detailed Hardware/Firmware inventory information from Dell iDRAC and make it available to the OS which could potentially be used in software like sosreport, cockpit, etc.
