correct name for maven pom-file
by Chris Spike
Hi,
Is there a recommendation on the name of the pom file for java packages?
There is a template in the wiki[1] that tells me to name it
JPP-%{name}.pom, but actually most packages call it JPP.%{name}.pom or
JPP-%{short_name}.pom.
Even apache-commons packages are non consistent (e.g.
JPP-commons-codec.pom, JPP-apache-commons-math.pom,
JPP.jakarta-commons-io.pom or JPP-jakarta-commons-net.pom) so I guess
this is up to taste?
Regards, Chris

License tag for gpl2+ source and gfdl documentation
by Bruno Wolff III
I want to include some pdf manuals in a package. The pdf manuals are available
separately from the project's (qgis) site from the source. (I didn't see
source files for the manuals, just pdf's.)
My thought is to include the manuals (one English, the other German) in
the srpm. But I am not sure how to indicate the separate licenses for
the source and documentation. A quick look at the FAQ didn't answer this
question.

Fast Moving Package updates (fldigi)
by Randall Berry
Hi,
I am one of the maintainers of fldigi[1] which is a very active and fast
moving project. Minor upstream updates appear almost weekly. Should I be
adding these updates to rawhide at least? I don't want to flood the
system with updates but would like to keep the package fresh.
