[Fedora-packaging] Inclusion of main version numbers in package names?

Hello,

Package names play an important role for the resolution of software dependencies.

I came along another example for a specific name pattern.

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/libXScrnSaver/


This name does not include a main version number so far.
Are there any circumstances when this technical detail will matter more?
