I think we should recommend separate packages in the guidelines going forward, and use
improvements in conditional install package handling in yum to handle their installation.
That would be good for all new packages though a bit of work to subpackage for old
packages.
This seems like a good stance to me too. Will the new yum
finctionality be able to handle the following ...
1) User installs package foo, but not package emacs-foo, as he doesn't
have emacs installed.
2) User installs emacs
... where at step 2, it would be nice if yum would suggest but not
mandate installing emacs-foo.
