I would hope it's fairly easy: all I've done is take the 0.24 release specfile and sources for qpid-cpp to create a compat package for people who depend on it. The only additions (besides the obvious name change <g>) is the inclusion of Conflicts: on the packages since the compat-qpid-cpp can't coexist with qpid-cpp.
