I have tried removing, logging out, and then installing and still I
cannot get
Padre's icon to appear. Before uninstalling, I had restarted & shutdown then
started many times to no avail.
When did file names become something that could be shorthanded? Was that new to
Gnome3?
The fedora-padre.desktop just has padre as the icon's name, but apparently that
is okay because looking at all of the other.
I looked for icons in both the rpm and my filesystem and found them in both.
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps/padre.png This is the same location and
same extension as those for Gimp which uses just the shorthand of the name too.
Does the spec not update the menu's icons?
No, I have it according guidelines.
This is my only GUI package in Fedora and I don't even have GNOME. Because it's
working for Iain, it's fixed for me. I'm sorry, but I'm out of ideas.
