[Bug 1917309] New: Please include missing argument files in package
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1917309
Bug ID: 1917309
Summary: Please include missing argument files in package
Product: Fedora
Version: 33
Status: NEW
Component: perl-Image-ExifTool
Severity: low
Assignee: spotrh(a)gmail.com
Reporter: avibrazil(a)gmail.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: perl-devel(a)lists.fedoraproject.org, spotrh(a)gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
ExifTool source repository has some important argument files that are not
included in the package. They can be seen here in the source:
https://metacpan.org/source/EXIFTOOL/Image-ExifTool-12.00/arg_files
These files have predefined and useful recipes to automatically convert a large
set of tags to and from XMP.
When these files will be included in the package, users will be able to do
something like this:
exiftool -@ /usr/lib/exiftool/args/exif2xmp.args video.mov
The /usr/lib/exiftool/args path is just an example.
Here are some other usage examples: https://exiftool.org/metafiles.html
Thank you in advance
