I would really like to understand why we have to support P7LE for another release.
Especial as I know that Mike Wolf is working on getting the new P8 hardware for COPR.
I will wait for you and Dan to sort this out before taking any action in glibc Fedora Rawhide.
My obvious hope would be that the current glibc changes stay as-is since they are the most optimal runtimes for the latest hardware.

seems we are making good progress with the hw, I didn't know the solution is that close. Thanks to everyone who is making it happen.
Carlos, please do not make any changes. I need to talk to Peter Robinson yet, but we should be switching the distro-wise flags before the mass-rebuild.
