Hi Fedora Community, I am writing to you months later to let you know
about a bad bug on Fedora 34 on Power. Meanwhile, I also stress to you, as certainly many
have already done, that Fedora 34 on Power runs really badly, you can't look at how
bad it is, with all due respect but it's terrible sorry. But the worst thing is that
probably due to Pulse Audio, anyone with a sound card can no longer turn up the volume. I
have a RME HDSPE-AIO and I can tell you that with Fedora 34 I no longer have the
possibility to turn up the volume and therefore I have to use the integrated audio. Fedora
had never had this problem, but obviously the fault lies with the new Pulse ... Can you
please see what it is? Thank you
is your problem with the sound card specific to Power? I mean does
the card work as expected in a x86 system? The card looks as a
professional audio device to me and would be better to ask in a general
Fedora forums or mailing lists with much higher audience than this
Power specific group. There is even a group/SIG dedicated to
(professional) audio processing (Fedora JAM [1]), they might be able to
help you. Also Fedora 34 moved from pulseaudio to pipewire (see [2]),
so if card worked in F-33, but doesn't in F-34, then it could be the
culprit.
