Hi All, i've been unable to get suspend to working starting with the 2.6.17 kernel as i stated in my previous emails. I've now upgraded to kernel 2.6.18-1.2200 and i still cannot get my powerbook to sleep correctly. I've just closed the lid, noticed that the led was not blinking as usual and was unable to awake it, i had to do a hard reboot. Here are the last logs i got from the kernel (i unplugged the network cable, the usb mouse and the power cord ) before closing the lid:

Is anyone able to make his powerbook sleep properly ?

Try the FC6 kernel, which has a fix for a backlight bug that doesn't seem to have made it into the FC5 release.
I'm planning to upgrade to FC6 as soon as it's released. I'll keep you posted. As anyone else got the problem or am i alone here ?

You should be able to install the FC6 kernel on FC5.
In fact, you can install FC6 today from the rawhide tree -- the only difference between rawhide and FC6 is the fedora-release package, which you can update later.

Thanks a lot for the tips, at least it seems i can use an up to date kernel from now on.

No, here the system dies when trying to go to sleep. This feature used to work with kernel 2.6.16x and it stopped working on 2.6.17x. It's at the kernel level that there is a problem. The bug you're referencing here is a hal bug from what i understand.
