I'd seen the previous post and response about the comments not being retrieved from Bugzilla 4.4.9-I'm seeing that as well. I did see that another project (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/bugzillatools/0.5.5), does retrieve the comments (I verified that in my case), but python-bugzilla seems more complete to me (and in particular the function for creating new bugs). Any chance the function from the other project for retrieving the comments could be added to python-bugzilla? Thanks, Andy Wray

BugzillaError upon instantiating

Hi all, I've seen a couple of reports on fedora-review and now one on pkgdb-cli about python-bugzilla raising an exception at an unexpected location. Here is the full report for pkgdb-cli: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1267821 As you can see in the stacktrace: >> BZCLIENT = Bugzilla(url=RH_BZ_API) raises: >> BugzillaError: Login failed: The username or password you entered is not >> valid. This is surprising to me for a few points: a) It is not passing any username/password b) If the username/password are invalid, I would expect to not be authenticated but not that it raises an exception. After trying to replicate the issue in a python shell, the exception seems to be gone but another is thrown in: File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/bugzilla/base.py", line 1203, in query r = self._query(query) ... Fault: <Fault 32000: 'The cookies or token provide were not valid or have expired. You may login again to get new cookies or a new token.'> Here as well, iirc it is possible to query a bug with python-bugzilla without being logged in, so I would not expect this exception. Could it be that the recent bugzilla upgrade confused things a little? Thanks, Pierre

Transitioning python-bugzilla to github

Hey all, I'd like to transition python-bugzilla to github. I've come around to the idea since Arun proposed it last year. I set up a mirror for now that I'll just sync using a cron job: https://github.com/python-bugzilla/python-bugzilla I'll finish the actual transfer over sometime in the future and deprecate the fedorahosted repo. Patches to the mailing list are still preferred, but I'll take pull-requests as well. Comments welcome Thanks, Cole

python-bugzilla issue on F22?

python-bugzilla is failing for me since I updated to F22. Is anybody else hitting this? Everything fails with "data must be a byte string". Is this a config issue or does the module not support comments from non-redhat bugzillas? Thanks in advance if anyone can help. I’ve searched around for an answer – apologies if it’s obvious and I have HIA syndrome J. This is an awesome module by the way - thanks to the dudes who support it. Any way to access reporter email/username?

Hi all, My bugzilla installation (not sure if this is default or not) has a field called "reporter" which is the email/username of the reporting user. I can't seem to figure out a way to view the reporter username of a bug. I can see the reporter_id just fine, but then don't see any way to get the username from that. If someone knows a way to do this, i'd love to hear it, otherwise does anyone have any recommendations for coding this up myself and uploading a patch? (have you moved to git yet?) I'm happy to announce a new release of python-bugzilla, version 1.2.1. python-bugzilla is a library and commandline tool for interacting with a bugzilla instance, including querying, modifying, and creating bug reports. This release includes: - bin/bugzilla: Add --ensure-logged-in option - Fix get_products with bugzilla.redhat.com - A few other minor improvements The release can be downloaded from: https://fedorahosted.org/released/python-bugzilla/python-bugzilla-1.2.1.tar… As well as pypi: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-bugzilla/1.2.1 (But I kinda screwed up the upload. I tried to do it manually via the web UI, but accidentally added the 1.2.1 archive as a file of the 1.2.0 version. So I delete the file, then read about twine, and try to upload the new version from the command line, but pypi complains since I'm trying to reupload a filename that had already been uploaded before :/ http://sourceforge.net/p/pypi/support-requests/468/ So the archive in pypi is a .zip rather than the .tar.gz to avoid the conflict.
