AutoQA and Beaker Downtime Today
by Tim Flink
Apologies for the late notice, I had the wrong date in my head for this.
With the Fedora Infrastructure outage today, I'm going to take the
opportunity to update and reboot all the AutoQA and Beaker
infrastructure.
AutoQA and Beaker will be mostly down for about 3 hours from 22:00 UTC.
I'll send out another email when everything is back up and running.

[Fedora QA] #435: bugzilla sync operations are not using the correct config items

#435: bugzilla sync operations are not using the correct config items

= bug description =
After the change for #423, the configuration options for bugzilla's XMLRPC
interface changed from BUGZILLA_URL to BUGZILLA_XMLRPC to get rid of the
hardcoded partial url in our templates.
Unfoturnately, the sync code is still using 'BUGZILLA_URL' and with an
updated config, sync blows up with errors.
To work around this bug, I've kept the old value for 'BUGZILLA_URL' which
allows sync to work but has the side-effect of breaking display of the
tracker bugs.
= bug analysis =
All references to 'BUGZILLA_URL' and 'BUGZILLA_XMLRPC' need to be checked
to make sure that we're getting the right urls in the right places.

Comment (by dcallagh):
uglifyjs is a good alternative for JS minification. In Beaker we're using
uglifyjs and ycssmin (with webassets), that setup works well.

Introducing Taskotron (the system formerly known as Taskbot)
by Tim Flink
tl;dr - taskbot is now taskotron
'taskbot' is a name I came up with while sitting at PyCon US in March,
looking for a name I could use while seeing if any of this could even
work.
Unfortunately, it never dawned on me to check with legal before moving
farther forward and now we're in a situation where the name we've been
using is not OK with legal and needs to change. Legal has approved the
use of 'taskotron' (something Josef and I came up with last week) and
we'll be moving to that name.
Fortunately, we don't have any production systems up or canonical repos
with 'taskbot' in their name so the name change process will be
significantly less problematic than it could have been.
I'll be going through the process of re-naming and editing wiki
articles but the test systems will be sticking around for a bit until
we're ready to re-deploy. There's no immediate legal threat and I don't
see much point in replacing working test elements until we're farther
along with the runner/reporting work that's currently underway.

Comment:
There are licence issues with python-jsmin, moving to Undetermined Future
until it is resolved.
