#1479: fedora-package-config-{apt,smart} need to be rebuild shortly before GA

I have two packages, fedora-package-config-{apt,smart}, that can
always only be changed between preview and final (e.g. like the
fedora-release package), as they need to be redirected to point to the
release/updates/updates-testing location instead of rawhide. If I do the
switch too early, the preview release has bad config for apt/smart,
if too late the release itself will be pointing to rawhide when using
apt/smart.
a) There is no NEVRA yet for these package to vote for, as they still need
to be built after the last rawhide pointing preview.
b) The changes will be pointing to releases/11, updates/11 and
updates/testing/11 instead of rawhide.
c) Rationale: see above. It is important to have these packages point to
rawhide as long as fedora-release does and switch to the GA locations with
the GA
d) Impact of not accepting: Users of apt/smart would be upgrading to
rawhide bits instead of F11.
e) Testing: The packages already exist in GA form for several different
Fedora releases.
Please grant this and allow for a build after the preview release, but
before the final compose. Thank you!

Make sure everything there is functioning as normal. Have mirrormanager
disable redirect of 11-updates*.

gallery2-2.3-8.fc11 fixes a pretrans symlink script. The previous, broken
version requires user intervention to upgrade. No code or DB changes.

Request for tag blender-2.48a-21.fc11 with dist-f11
by Jochen Schmitt
hallo,
unfortunately, we have found a nonfree bundled library in the source tar
ball
of blender (the x264 library) which I have removed from the source tar ball
in the source RPM.
So I want to request the tagging of blender-2.48a-21.fc11 with dist-f11
for inclussion into Fedora 11.
Best Regards:

I recently got the Fedora 11 schedule into good shape in TaskJuggler and
it didn't take much effort to generate a Fedora 12 version. [[BR]]
I'm creating this ticket as a follow-up to the discussion that happened
around Fedora 11 here https://fedorahosted.org/rel-eng/ticket/843 and on
the Fedora mailing lists. The outcome of that discussion was to have a
shorter Fedora 12 and get us back to the ~ October 31 /May 1 release
cycle.[[BR]]
* http://poelstra.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-12/
My intent in designing this schedule was to mirror as much as possible the
testing cycles we have found to work well in past releases while
shortening the initial development and feature submission time. It has a
GA Date of 2009-10-27.

Hi, rel-eng folks.
Recently, rb_libtorrent was recently updated in Fedora from 0.14.2 to
0.14.3, and along with that update came a slight ABI bump, which requires
a rebuild all of dependent packages as mentioned in my posting to fedora-
devel-announce earlier.
This is to ask that rb_libtorrent-0.14.3-1.fc11 (Koji task 1325901)
be added to the buildroot override so that these necessary rebuilds can
occur properly.
Thanks.

A bulk request, these three are related somehow. Please vote on them
separately.
I maintian one of these packages, maintainers of the other agree with
these being submitted for dist-f11.
nss_compat_ossl-0.9.5-3.fc11
* This adds implementation of SSL_CTX_set_default_verify_paths()
* links' and elinks' use of default CA bundle is dependent on this.
Without it, all certificates are considered invalid
* Without this function, https implementation in both links and elinks is
nonfunctional
* I've tested that handling of trusted, untrusted, valid and expired
certification in both links and elinks works as expected. I am not aware
of any other software using that function
elinks-0.12-0.13.pre3.fc11
* This release enables verification of certificates
* Without it any certificate (untrusted, self-signed, expired) is
accepted without a warning, which can be considered a security problem!
* Without this fix, users of elinks are exposed to a security risk
* See above for testing I've conducted
links-0.12-0.13.pre3.fc11
* This release fixes the Epoch so that elinks doesn't obsolete it
* It contains no other change
* What is currently tagged in dist-f11 already contains the security fix
the above elinks build adds
* Without this fix people would not be able to install the package, since
elinks obsoletes it

Hi, rel-eng folks. Recently, unique in Fedora was updated to version
1.0.8, from version 1.0.4; and this new version fixes some bugs that
prevented Midori (and potentially, some other apps) from using it
properly. In fact, I had to disable it in Midori until it was updated, as
its [Midori's] build scripts automatically disable it due to 1.0.4 being a
known-broken version.
After unique was updated, I also updated Midori's spec and rebuilt it,
thinking that it would pick up the updated unique in the buildroot; but I
must admit that I forgot that the composes are no longer automatic since
we're in a development freeze for F-11.
This is to ask that unique-1.0.8-1.11 (Koji task 1308797) be added to the
F-11 buildroot override, at which time I can bump midori accordingly in
order to re-enable the single instance support through unique.
Thanks very much.
